The Minister of Electricity calls on Germany to resolve the Siemens issue in Iraq.

The Minister of Electricity, Ali Saadi Wahib, today, Sunday, called on the German Ambassador to Iraq, Daniel Kriber, to urge Siemens to complete its projects and commitments in Iraq, and to expedite their progress according to the specified timelines.
The Ministry of Electricity stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that the minister received the German ambassador at the ministry's headquarters and discussed the prospects for developing joint cooperation between Iraq and Germany in the field of electrical energy.
It added that the meeting addressed ways to expand areas of cooperation and benefit from German expertise and capabilities in implementing and developing electricity sector projects, which contributes to enhancing the partnership between the two countries and supporting the ministry’s efforts to improve the performance of the electricity system.
The ministry confirmed that the minister requested the German ambassador to urge Siemens to complete its projects and commitments in Iraq and to accelerate the pace of their completion within the specified timelines, in support of the ministry's plans for the development of the electricity sector.
