The Ministry of Defense called on all citizens in various provinces, including Basra, Dhi Qar, Karbala, Al-Muthanna, Al-Anbar, and Baghdad, to provide any information related to missing Iraqis and Kuwaitis due to the Gulf War, confirming a generous financial reward for anyone who provides useful information that leads to positive results on the ground.

The ministry stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that providing this information constitutes a humanitarian duty and a responsibility towards the families of the missing who have been waiting for news about their loved ones for more than three decades, noting that any details about unusual burial operations, the arrival of unidentified individuals or vehicles, or records in the documentation could be extremely important, even if the identity is incomplete.

It explained that communication and sharing of information can be done through phone numbers and email for the Human Rights Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Baghdad, and its consulates in Erbil and Basra, in addition to the toll-free number for the International Committee of the Red Cross mission in Baghdad, while ensuring that all communications are handled with complete confidentiality.
