Egyptian director Rami Imam revealed the truth about producing an artistic work that addresses the biography of his father, the great artist Adel Imam, explaining that the idea is still in the stage of gathering information and preparation, and its official execution has not been finalized yet.
Rami Imam stated in comments at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival, which "Video News Agency" attended, that presenting a documentary about his father's life is a possibility, but it remains merely an idea under consideration, indicating that implementing a project of this magnitude requires extensive preparations and precise gathering of information and details related to the leader’s life and artistic career.
He also explained: "It's not confirmed, of course we would like to gather some information and present a documentary about Adel Imam’s life, and this is not something that can be done overnight; it takes a lot of time and lengthy preparations, and we keep gathering information."
Rami Imam pointed out that documenting the life of the "leader" requires multiple stages of research and preparation, allowing for a documentary experience that captures aspects of his personal and artistic life, showcasing milestones in his decades-long career, during which he left a significant mark in cinema, theatre, and television.
Meanwhile, Rami Imam did not reveal a specific date for starting the project or details about the final form of the work, confirming that the idea has not yet reached the stage of an official decision, as information continues to be gathered and thoughts about how to present it are ongoing.
On another note, Rami Imam commented on the fabricated image of his father, the great artist Adel Imam, which was recently circulated on social media as his latest appearance, later revealing that it has nothing to do with the leader and was created using artificial intelligence.
Rami Imam said at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival: "Artificial intelligence has had a huge leap forward, and like the internet, it has good and bad uses, and we have become accustomed to it."
It is noteworthy that the last appearance of the leader Adel Imam was in July of last year during the wedding of his grandson "Adel," son of director Rami Imam.
Adel Imam appeared in a family photo with his family members, as he stood between the bride and groom, Adel the younger and Farida, while the leader's wife stood beside them, with the rest of the family members appearing behind them.
However, the image circulated recently was not of the leader; it actually showed Indian screenwriter Salim Khan, father of artist Salman Khan, after attending a family event in Mumbai. His features were digitally altered to resemble those of the Egyptian artist, which sparked controversy among followers.
