The Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zeydiy called today, Monday, on the International Crisis Group to employ its expertise and capabilities and to provide its insights and plans that could contribute to addressing the existing crises and assisting decision-makers, emphasizing that the significant challenges facing the countries of the region require mobilizing efforts and intensifying joint work to reach solutions that contribute to dismantling the economic and developmental crises and achieving stability.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that Al-Zeydiy received the honorary president of the International Crisis Group and the director of the Middle East program, Robert Malley, along with his accompanying delegation, which included the deputy director of the program and the director of the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula project.

He added that the meeting witnessed discussions about the various issues and crises facing the region and potential solutions amid the instability and conflicts experienced in the Middle East, noting that the repercussions of these challenges have extended to the global economy as a whole and negatively affected supply chains.

Al-Zeydiy stressed the importance of allowing space for dialogue and expanding its scope to reach common ground between the concerned parties, indicating that Iraq has made and continues to make significant efforts in this direction.

He clarified that Robert Malley, for his part, expressed the International Crisis Group's readiness to employ its capabilities and expertise to support the Iraqi government's efforts and its approach aimed at dismantling crises and promoting stability in the region and bridging viewpoints.
