The Minister of Transport, Wahb Al-Hassani, announced today, Wednesday, the imminent implementation of the agreements on land transport signed between Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt. He emphasized the importance of the Development Road project as a strategic initiative that receives government and regional attention.
Al-Hassani stated, in a speech covered by the Video News Agency, on the sidelines of his participation in the 39th ordinary session of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers, held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, that the meeting is significant given the regional and international circumstances currently facing the world, expressing his hope that the decisions made will contribute to achieving tangible results in the near future.
He added that there are several agreements between Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt regarding land transport, expressing his hope for their implementation soon.
Regarding the Development Road project, Al-Hassani confirmed that it is a strategic project extending 1,200 kilometers from Basra to the Turkish border, noting that it is receiving attention from the Prime Minister and the Turkish president.
