Falah Farid sent a message to the National Union: The presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament has been decided and will not be temporary.

The President of the Kurdistan Parliament, Fala Farid, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the elected presidency of the parliament is a permanent body and not temporary, emphasizing that its election was carried out according to legal and proper frameworks.
She stated during her first press conference after her election that completing the procedures for holding the first session reflects respect for democracy and the will of the voters, and constitutes an important step toward reactivating the legislative institution in the region.
She added that activating the parliament serves the interests of all political parties and components of the Kurdistan region and does not target any party, affirming that the region represents a unified constitutional entity.
The President of the Parliament called on all blocs and members who boycotted the session to return to perform their duties under the parliament's dome and fulfill their national responsibilities toward the people of Kurdistan and the voters who gave them their votes.
Farid reiterated her confirmation that today's session was held legally and properly, and that the elected presidency will continue its duties as a permanent body, despite the continued boycott by some political blocs, most notably the Kurdistan National Union bloc.
