The Tajy Municipality Directorate announced today, Sunday, the removal of 6 illegal livestock pens as part of its ongoing campaigns to limit the spread of livestock farming within residential areas, while also confirming that legal actions will be taken against their owners.
The Director of the Tajy Municipality, Ali Mufaq Rahim, stated in a statement reported by the Video News Agency that "the municipality’s staff carry out daily campaigns throughout the week to combat the phenomenon of livestock spread within cities and to remove illegal pens."
He added that "today’s campaigns resulted in the removal of about 6 livestock pens, along with legal actions against their owners."
He explained that these measures were taken in response to repeated complaints from citizens about the damage caused by livestock to crops, as well as the unseemly appearances resulting from the spread of pens within residential areas.
The directorate confirmed the continuation of its oversight campaigns to limit this phenomenon, maintain cleanliness in residential areas, and reduce the damage inflicted on citizens.
