The Higher Authority for Hajj and Umrah announced the signing of an agreement regarding the arrangements for Iraqi pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season 1448 AH with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as part of enhancing joint cooperation and facilitating the procedures for performing the Hajj rituals.
The authority stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that "the head of the Higher Authority for Hajj and Umrah, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi, signed the agreement with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, with the aim of developing mechanisms for the transportation of Iraqi pilgrims and providing the necessary services for them."
Al-Masoudi confirmed during the signing ceremony the authority's commitment to improving the level of services provided to pilgrims and continuing the successes achieved over the past five years, as well as enhancing technical and administrative cooperation with the Saudi side.
He pointed out that Iraq has completed the arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season, including contracting for transportation, accommodation, and nutrition services, along with other logistical requirements, to ensure the best services for Iraqi pilgrims.
