Member of the Al-Azm Alliance, Abdul Sattar al-Dulaimi, revealed that US Special Envoy to President Donald Trump, Mark Savva, informed Iraqi political leaders of Washington's intention to determine the occupants of the three presidencies and the sovereign ministries in the next government.

Al-Dulaimi stated that "Savva emphasized during his meetings with a number of senior Iraqi officials the necessity of the new government not interfering in the selection of senior positions," indicating that "the selection of the presidencies of the republic, the prime ministership, and the parliament, in addition to the ministries of interior, defense, finance, and oil, as well as the management of the Central Bank, will be subject to the American vision."

Al-Dulaimi added that "Iraqi officials received warnings and threats of exposing corruption files and confiscating their assets abroad if they do not adhere to the American approach in forming the next government."
