The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, confirmed on Tuesday that what was shattered during the imposed third war is the illusion of the aggressor, not the will of the Iranian people.
Ghalibaf praised, in a press interview attended by the news agency, the passage of 200 days of the Iranian people's presence in the streets and squares, considering that the people are the fundamental support for the strength and power of the Islamic Republic.
He added that the enemy bet on breaking the will of Iranians through military aggression and security and economic pressures; however, the continued public presence has thwarted these calculations, emphasizing that Iran's defensive power derives its roots from the people's faith, will, and resilience, and that this public support constitutes a fundamental pillar for confronting challenges.
He continued that the diplomatic movements based on pride and national interests also derive their strength from the continued public presence, clarifying that the resilience of Iranians has contributed to thwarting plans for division and weakening Iran, proving that pressures and disagreements in viewpoints do not sever Iranians' ties to national interests.
Ghalibaf stressed that the experiences of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense, and recent wars confirm that the people's resistance was a key factor in thwarting the enemies' plans, concluding by affirming that the greatest responsibility of officials is to seize the opportunity to serve the people through continuous work and sincerity, expressing appreciation for the patience and resistance of the Iranians.
