The prices of Basra heavy and medium crude oil dropped today, Tuesday, by more than 8%, despite the rise in global oil prices.
A correspondent from the news agency reported that Basra heavy crude recorded $68.34 per barrel, down by $6.41 and by 8.58%, while Basra medium crude fell to $71.64 per barrel, a decrease of $6.41 and by 8.21%.
In contrast, West Texas Intermediate crude rose to $89.60 per barrel, up by $0.17, while Brent crude climbed to $100.54, increasing by $0.22.
Thus, Basra heavy crude trades at about $32 less than Brent crude per barrel, while the difference between Basra medium crude and Brent is about $29.
