The federal police impose a curfew in Hawija and threaten violators with penalties.

The Federal Police Command announced today, Tuesday, a curfew in the district of Hawija and its villages in Kirkuk province, from 6 PM to 6 AM.

The command stated in a statement received by "Video News Agency" that the measures included a complete prohibition of movement during curfew hours, with a specific focus on motorcycle and car owners, and any violating motorcycle will be confiscated. Additionally, there is heightened enforcement regarding cargo motorcycles, allowing their passage only in emergency situations with official approval during the curfew.

The command urged everyone to adhere to the instructions and cooperate with the security forces to ensure the security and safety of the area, warning that those who violate the directives expose themselves to legal accountability.

An security source in Kirkuk reported last night, Monday, that one person was killed and four others injured when the third regiment within the ninth brigade of the federal police was attacked in the Barghliya-Danadish area, located in the Hawija district to the southwest of the province.

The source noted that the attack targeted the security unit and also resulted in the destruction of several thermal cameras present at the site.

Meanwhile, the Federal Police Command mourned one of its members, who was killed while confronting an attack by elements of the "ISIS" organization on a security point to the southwest of Kirkuk province early this Tuesday.

The command stated in a statement that the officer "Bakr Majid Mohammed Al-Lami" was killed while facing a group of ISIS elements that attempted to attack his guarding point in the Barghliya area, north of Riyadh sub-district, within the third regiment, ninth brigade, third division of the federal police.
