The British capital, London, witnessed a gathering today, Saturday, attended by members of anti-war groups, civil activists, and dozens of Iranians residing in Britain, in front of the American embassy, protesting against the military adventures of the United States towards Iran.

Participants in the gathering raised Iranian flags and condemned the military threats directed against Iran, calling for an immediate halt to American and Zionist military adventures in the region.

Protesters also held signs bearing slogans such as "Hands off Iran" and "No to war," urging the British government to double its efforts to contain the warlike policies of the White House.

This event was organized by the "Stop the War" coalition and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), with the participation of Iranians residing in Britain, in front of the American embassy building in the Nine Elms area of London.

The British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament had called for participation in the gathering, highlighting the recent American attack on Qeshm Island and the new threats issued by U.S. President Donald Trump against Iran, affirming the necessity of stopping the war launched by Trump and Netanyahu.

This anti-war organization also linked, in a recent statement, the significant defeat that the Republicans faced in the U.S. midterm elections to the aftermath of the war on Iran, demanding that the British government end its support for this war.

The organization called on British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to explicitly announce that British military bases, including Fairford and Diego Garcia, will not be permitted for any new attacks against Iran.

The British Prime Minister had spoken on Wednesday about a new opportunity to end the war on Iran, commenting on the Republican defeat in the recent U.S. midterm congressional elections, emphasizing the need to reduce tensions in West Asia.

Reports indicate that European officials hope that, following the Republicans' defeat in the recent congressional elections, increased political pressure on Donald Trump will help contain the warlike policies of the White House and create conditions to end the war on Iran through diplomatic means.
