The Egyptian artist Ahmed Ezz paid 570,000 Egyptian pounds, representing the overdue amount for the wage of actress Zeina's maid, as part of the ongoing legal disputes between the two parties.
The competent court decided today, Tuesday, to reserve the lawsuit filed against Ahmed Ezz for a ruling, with the final decision to be announced in a session on August 16, after confirming the payment of the requested amount.
During the session for considering the case, Ahmed Ezz paid the outstanding financial amount, which the court confirmed before setting a date to issue the ruling in the lawsuit filed by actress Zeina, in which she demanded legal action against him for failing to pay the maid's wages.
The family court in Nasr City had previously heard the lawsuit in which Zeina demanded that Ahmed Ezz be obligated to pay the accumulated financial dues, before it was postponed to a session on July 28.
The court had previously upheld a ruling obliging Ahmed Ezz to pay a maid's wage of 30,000 pounds, after rejecting his appeal regarding the ruling.
The legal disputes between Ahmed Ezz and Zeina date back to 2014, following a dispute over a customary marriage and proving the lineage of their twins, Ezz El Din and Zain El Din, after which cases related to expenses and service wages continued.
In 2017, Zeina obtained a divorce ruling from Ahmed Ezz, while legal actions related to financial obligations between the two parties have persisted over the past years.
