Informed sources reported today, Tuesday, that military readiness and alertness have been raised along the entire Syrian-Iraqi border for all troops and units affiliated with the government of Ahmed al-Shara, nicknamed "al-Julani."

The sources told the Video News Agency that the reason for the alertness is internal divisions related to attempts to reorganize leadership, noting that sharp disagreements have erupted between Brigadier General Jamil al-Salih and Suleiman Shah "Abu Amsha," the leader of the 62nd Division known as the Syrian Army, after al-Julani demanded that the latter hand over his forces to Brigadier General al-Salih, which "Abu Amsha" refused, insisting on remaining with his men.

The sources clarified that mobile phones were confiscated from "Abu Amsha," and he has been placed under house arrest, alongside putting Saif Bolad under house arrest as well, amid growing fears of an armed conflict between the two sides in the coming hours or attempts by some leaders to flee toward Iraqi territory.

They added that military movements are ongoing for the 70th Brigade, led by Mukhtar al-Turki, toward Hama Governorate to subdue "Abu Amsha's" division by force if necessary, amid expectations of Turkish intelligence intervening to resolve the crisis and contain the escalation between the warring parties.
