The Yemeni armed forces announced today, Wednesday, the targeting of a Saudi oil tanker in the northern Red Sea, confirming the continuation of operations targeting Saudi ships and the closure of all maritime routes.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Yahya Saree, stated in a statement followed by the News Video Agency: "The Saudi oil tanker (Wafa) was targeted in the northern Red Sea, off the coast of Yanbu, with ballistic missiles, and the hit was precise," confirming "the targeting of eight Saudi oil tankers since the maritime blockade began."
He added that "the number of Saudi oil tankers that have been prevented and forced to retreat and return in the Red and Arabian seas has reached 29 ships, which forced them to change their course."
The spokesperson confirmed that "our operations will continue and escalate in targeting Saudi oil tankers in the northern Red Sea, with the aim of closing all maritime routes."
