The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, confirmed on Wednesday that the meeting held with Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi was fruitful, while pointing out the region's support for the successful implementation of the government program.
Barzani said in a post on the platform (X), which was seen by "Al-Fيديو News Agency", "I held a productive meeting with Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi in Baghdad, during which we discussed the overall situation in the country and the challenges we face, as well as reviewing the latest developments and updates on both regional and international levels and their reflections on Iraq."
He added, "We emphasized the region's support and joint work to ensure the successful implementation of the government program in a way that serves the interests of all components of our people and fulfills the commitments we made to our people regarding comprehensive economic reform, restricting weapons, and accelerating the accomplishment of national priorities, foremost of which are consolidating security and stability, enhancing the development process, and improving the level of services."
He continued, "We stressed the importance of unifying positions, intensifying efforts, and strengthening coordination among various state institutions, in a way that contributes to safeguarding the country from challenges and dangers, preserving its sovereignty and stability, and achieving the higher interests of our people in a manner that meets their aspirations for a more secure and prosperous future."
