Venezuela is considering withdrawing from OPEC.

Informed sources reported that Venezuela is seriously considering the idea of withdrawing from the "OPEC" organization.

According to the sources, the withdrawal issue has been a focus of discussions between Venezuelan officials and their American counterparts, but a final decision has not yet been made.

Despite the decline in Venezuela's influence within "OPEC" due to sanctions and internal unrest that have driven its production to less than half of its levels from nearly a decade ago, observers note that its departure from the organization could raise doubts about the cohesion of "OPEC" and its ability to influence oil prices, especially following the UAE's withdrawal a few months ago and increasing criticisms from other member countries, including Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that Venezuela was one of the five founding members of "OPEC" in 1960 and played a key role in the birth of the "OPEC+" alliance with Russia in 2016, but its influence has declined recently with the rise of competitors from shale oil producers and major discoveries in Guyana and Brazil.
