The Minister of Communications, Mustafa Sanad, announced today, Monday, measures to limit the companies selling and buying the Internet illegally.
Sanad said in a statement followed by the news agency Video, that "there are more than one company involved in corruption through selling the Internet outside the regulations, merging the Internet and reselling it, and illegal Internet purchases have been found alongside false invoices."
He added, "The investigative judge of Al-Karkh informed us of the estimated value, and we, in turn, formed a committee to assess the value, which is in the billions, but we do not know the actual value until the completion of the investigation."
He continued, "There are many companies, but so far, we have caught two companies that merge, sell, and buy the Internet illegally, in addition to producing forged invoices."
