The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Monday, that it has prevented the waste of (19) billion dinars following the suspension of bidding procedures for a property measuring (550) dunams in Anbar.
The commission stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that "as part of the ongoing and diligent monitoring of state properties in Baghdad and the provinces, it revealed that the field team formed in the Anbar Investigation Office managed, after monitoring and investigation and visiting the State Properties Directorate and the Urban Planning Directorate in Anbar, as well as the City Organization Division in the Ramadi Municipality Directorate, to identify several violations committed in the process of announcing and selling a property located within the future expansion of the city of Ramadi for less than its real value, without obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ramadi Municipality Directorate."
It pointed out that "the property area is (550) dunams, sold for (13,750,000,000) billion dinars to one of the citizens."
It added that "the estimated price of one dunam of the property was set at (25,090,000) million dinars, which is a significantly lower amount than the prices based on the estimated regulations issued by the General Tax Authority in 2024."
It continued that "the team's investigations and its review of the coordinates of the property and prices of similar properties concluded that the estimated price per dunam is (60,000,000) million dinars, and that the actual value of the property reaches (33,000,000,000) billion dinars, with a difference of (19,250,000,000) billion dinars from the price set by the appraisal committee in the State Properties Directorate in Anbar."
It noted that "the field team presented the results of its investigations and follow-up to the attention of the investigating judge specialized in integrity cases in Anbar, who issued a decision to stop the procedures for selling the property, and referred the preliminaries to the external auditing division for auditing and identifying the violations, and also decided to record the statements of the legal representatives of the State Properties Directorate, the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Anbar, and the General Tax Authority."
