Today, Thursday, the new administrative committee of the Iraqi Wrestling Federation was elected for the electoral cycle 2026-2030 during the electoral conference held in the presence of members of the general assembly of the federation and representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Iraqi National Olympic Committee.
The elections took place, according to a statement from the Wrestling Federation that "the Video News Agency" reviewed, based on the Sports Federations Law No. (24) of 2021 and the internal regulations of the federation for 2021.
According to the statement, the results led to the election of Shalaan Abdul Kazem Ibrahim and the renewal of trust in him as president of the federation, Mahdi Hassan Ismail as vice president, and the membership of Hadi Mahdi Wajid, Nasir Aboud Mohsen, Hussein Kazem Hussein, Taha Ramadan Taha, Qaisar Ghaleb Jasim, Marwan Suhail Aboud, and Liza Rostam Yaqub, to assume their duties in the electoral cycle extending from 2026 to 2030.
