The London Printing and Publishing House has released the book “Syllables of Days” in five large volumes. This documentary work covers the autobiography and objective biography of the scholar Sayyid Talib Al-Rifai, prepared by Jawad bin the scholar Sheikh Abdul Hadi Al-Fadhli and Adel Al-Qadi.
The memoirs review contemporary historical and intellectual milestones related to Islamic movements and prestigious Arab scientific institutions and universities, as well as the lives of several prominent figures of the awakening, including scholars, jurists, writers, poets, thinkers, philosophers, and university professors who left their marks on contemporary history.
The release of these memoirs comes in the context of the interest in documenting the lives of scholars, writers, and thinkers, providing readings of the scientific, intellectual, and cultural life in Islamic countries, and monitoring the transformations it has undergone over different time periods.
The back cover of the book describes the five volumes as an encyclopedia of the biography of the distinguished scholar Dr. Sayyid Talib Al-Rifai, recalling the early beginnings and memories of intellectual and mental formation, spotlighting the personalities and events that left a deep impact on his life.
The memoirs traverse between the family environment, the scientific community, and the public sphere, invoking prominent personalities, pivotal events, and images from personal memory, in an attempt to read a century filled with transformations, contradictions, human experiences, and intellectual thought.
The book represents an addition to the Arab documentary library, offering testimonies and memories that contribute to preserving aspects of contemporary scientific, cultural, and intellectual history.
