The second edition of the Nineveh International Film Festival concluded its activities in the city of Mosul, with the participation of 28 films and the presence of a selection of Iraqi and Arab artists and filmmakers.
Iraqi and Arab artists and directors praised the cultural and artistic movement that Mosul is witnessing, appreciating the festival's role in enhancing cultural communication and opening up to Arab cinematic experiences, as well as providing an opportunity for young talents to showcase their work and exchange experiences.
Egyptian artist Ahmed Badir stated, in a statement followed by the news agency Video, that the participating films presented experiences deserving of appreciation, due to the artistic efforts and promising young talents they contained.
Badir emphasized that the importance of participating in film festivals is not limited to winning awards, but includes showcasing works to the audience, gaining experience, and developing cinematic experiences, which contribute to supporting young talents and elevating the level of film production.
The festival serves as a platform to support the cinematic movement in Iraq and to enhance Mosul's presence on the cultural and artistic events map by bringing together creators and providing a space for cultural and artistic exchange.
