Next year marks the twentieth anniversary of the iPhone's launch, and rumors suggest that the Pro models will feature a completely new design.
A new leak also reveals larger screen dimensions that are said to be coming with these phones.
When Apple celebrated the tenth anniversary of the iPhone in 2017, it prepared a highly special model for launch, the iPhone X.
Rumors indicate that the company is gearing up to present something just as special for the twentieth anniversary next year.
According to leaks, next year's iPhone Pro models will feature curved screens on all four sides and will be edge-to-edge, wrapping around the device's edges.
The "Dynamic Island" cutout may also be reduced or completely removed, giving the phone a fully connected glass appearance.
According to a new post from the popular leaker account "Digital Chat Station," Apple is also testing new screen sizes, which are as follows:
- iPhone Pro: 6.4-inch display, compared to 6.3 inches currently.
- iPhone Pro Max: 7-inch display, compared to 6.9 inches currently.
Both models will see an increase in actual size while maintaining the same aspect ratio as the current models, meaning that the increased screen area will not just be due to smaller bezels.
Apple last increased the screen sizes of the Pro phones in 2024, when the iPhone 16 Pro's screen size grew from 6.1 to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max's screen size increased from 6.7 to 6.9 inches.
While the expected increase next year may seem minor, the four curved edges design could make the phones look noticeably different overall.
