Eight Arab and Islamic countries called on Israel today, Tuesday, to fulfill its commitments under the first phase of the comprehensive plan for Gaza, ensuring the safe and unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid and early recovery supplies.
Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey emphasized the necessity of adhering to a ceasefire and ending violations during a meeting in New York, highlighting the importance of implementing the roadmap for the second phase, which includes a complete Israeli withdrawal, the deployment of an international stabilization force, and the commencement of the reconstruction of the sector.
The ministers reiterated their rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians or changes to the geographic and demographic character of the Palestinian territories, calling for a halt to settlement expansion, land confiscation, home demolitions, and settler violence.
They also affirmed that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian land and supported a path towards establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, praising the U.S. role in implementing the plan and urging continued U.S. engagement to ensure all parties adhere to it.
