An Iraqi delegation discussed, today Thursday, with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior files of mutual interest and security and media fields.
The office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stated in a statement received by the "Video News Agency," that "in line with the directives of the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces regarding adherence to the principles of good neighborliness with brotherly and friendly countries, especially neighboring countries, and activating the foundations of cooperation with them in various fields, and under the guidance of the Office Director of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the Kuwaiti Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdul Wahab Ahmed Al-Wuhib, received an Iraqi delegation from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior."
He added: "The Iraqi delegation included the head of the Security Media Cell in the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Saad Ma'an, the official spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, the Consul of the Republic of Iraq in the State of Kuwait, Haider Al-Tamimi, and the Chargé d'Affaires, Diaa Al-Amiri."
The head of the Security Media Cell conveyed "the greetings of the Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the Kuwaiti side and to the brothers in the State of Kuwait," affirming "the depth of the historical and brotherly relations that bind the two countries and the Republic of Iraq's keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the State of Kuwait in various fields of mutual interest."
During the meeting, "the horizons of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, and the mechanisms of communication and coordination between the relevant institutions were enhanced, which contributes to supporting the brotherly relations between Iraq and Kuwait, and solidifying the principles of good neighborliness and mutual cooperation."
He noted that "this meeting comes within the framework of efforts aimed at activating communication channels between the two sides and enhancing coordination on files of mutual interest, especially in the security and media fields, in a way that serves the common interests of both countries."
