Washington pulls 80-year-old planes out of their "tombs" to compensate for losses in the Iran war

According to German sources cited by the Bild newspaper, the United States has withdrawn C-135 refueling aircraft from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, known as the "aircraft graveyard," to rehabilitate them and return them to service following its losses in the Iran War.

The report viewed by the "News Video Agency" stated that among the recovered aircraft, there are those aged between 60 and 80 years. It mentioned that U.S. forces first lost one refueling aircraft in an air incident, followed by damage to five other aircraft of the same model in their parking areas due to Iranian strikes.

Davis-Monthan Air Force Base houses the largest site in the world for storing and maintaining aging or surplus military aircraft. 

Bild's report linked these developments to a continuous depletion of the U.S. arsenal, stating that ongoing losses raise strategic questions about Washington's ability to face upcoming challenges.
