The Sayyid al-Shohada Brigades confirmed today, Saturday, that their engagement with the direction of the resistance weapon organization is contingent upon the implementation of ten fundamental conditions to preserve national sovereignty.
The brigades stated in a statement received by the video news agency that the bearing of arms arose as a necessity imposed by real challenges to defend the ideological and national existence. They noted that the conditions include the complete withdrawal of U.S. occupation forces on land, at sea, and in the air, and ending their presence under any title, as well as preventing the use of Iraqi airspace to attack neighboring countries. Additionally, they emphasized the enactment of laws for the Popular Mobilization Forces to ensure the rights of its fighters, martyrs, and wounded, and to organize their work and secure supplies and personnel.
The brigades stressed the necessity of enforcing complete sovereignty of federal security forces over all Iraqi territory and enhancing air defense with advanced systems that operate exclusively under Iraqi decisions. They called for the removal of fighters from the Kurdistan Workers' Party and Turkish soldiers stationed in northern Iraq, as well as securing the borders in the Kurdistan region by the Iraqi army and managing all border crossings by the federal government.
The brigades urged the removal of Iranian opposition groups from their positions and working to liberate Iraq's financial, economic, and political decisions from American dominance, as well as ending external interference in internal affairs.
