The Iraqi national team defeated the Kuwaiti team with a score of 1-0 in the friendly match that took place on December 30, 2022, and the "Lions of the Euphrates" prevailed with a score of 2-1 in a friendly match held on January 27, 2021, while the friendly match on September 10, 2018, ended in a 2-2 draw.
The last victory for the Kuwaiti national team over Iraq dates back to 2014 when they won the match with a score of 1-0, nearly 12 years ago.
